Sally Lynn Kinney Akers, age 67, of Cranberry Twp, PA, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 5th, 2025.
Born on March 16th, 1957, and raised in Alkol, WV, Lynn was the daughter of Patty and Cecil Walls. She was a graduate of Duval High School and a great, loving nurse for many years.
She is survived by her loving husband, Dale Akers of Cranberry Twp, PA, whose devotion to Lynn was unwavering throughout their marriage. Dale was not only her partner but her rock, always by her side, offering love, support, and comfort during both the good times and the more challenging moments. Together, they shared a deep bond of love and companionship that was evident to all who knew them.
Lynn is also survived by her children Chelsea Stragand (husband Jeremy) and Jay Kinney (wife Rebekah); grandchildren Jaycie, Layla, Dalton, and Brenna, who were the light of her life; and siblings Steve Walls (wife Pam) and Jonell Barclay (husband Travis).
Lynn was a loving mother and grandmother. Though her later years in life were marked by health challenges, she found immense joy in her role as a mother and grandmother, always sharing her warmth and affection with her beloved grandchildren and creating memories that will stay with them forever. Her legacy will live on in the love she gave, the lessons she taught, and the memories that will remain in the hearts of her family.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Parkinson’s Research Foundation.
A private service will be held for family and close friends. The family appreciates all the love and support during this difficult time. May she rest in peace, and may the Lord welcome her home.
