Sally Lee Price

Sally Lee Price went home to be with the Lord on February 22, 2025 at CAMC after a short illness.

Sally was born on August 27, 1951 in Madison, WV to Virgil and Norma Jean Branham. She graduated from Van High School in 1969 where she was active in different types of clubs. Sally was a member of the National Honor Society. After graduation she was an exemplary employee for the Boone County Board of Education which included working at Van High School, Boone Career and Vocational Center, Peytona Grade School and Wharton Grade School. She also served as Executive Secretary to the Superintendent of the Board of Education. Sally retired with 31 years of service.

Sally was saved as a little girl and later rededicated her life as a young mother at Cazy FWB Church. Sally married Doug Price, they were married for 49 years and enjoyed several train trips out West. Sally was a faithful wife, mother and grandmother (Grammy). She attended Roxalana Gospel Tabernacle Church in Dunbar, WV where she so enjoyed working on the church bulletins with Ms. Blanche Jarrell. 

Sally was preceded in death by her parents Virgil and Norma Jean Branham; brothers Dwayne Branham (wife Mary) and Keith Branham (wife Denise); and brother–in-law Ronnie Powers.

Sally is survived by her husband Doug; daughters Alisha Jarrell (husband Chris) of Lincolnton, NC and Sarah Boothe of Charleston, WV; sisters, Sharon Powers and Debbie Price (husband Tom) of Charleston, WV; grandchildren Abby and Zach Boothe of Beckley, WV; and a host of nieces,  nephews and cousins.

Service will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 26, 2025 at Handley Funeral Home, Danville, WV with Tom Price officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens, Madison, WV.

Friends may visit from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m.
