Sandra Kaye Hager, 71, of Madison went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 21, 2014 at CAMC Memorial Hospital, Charleston after complications with surgery.
She was born August 6, 1942 and was a daughter of the late Edgar and Leona Blake. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Sidney Wootsie Hager; brother, Danny Joe; three sisters, Faith Ann, Linda Carol and Vickie Gaye.
She was a member of Blair Church of God, Danville. She was a loyal supporter of St. Jude and Church of God Smokey Mountain Home for Children, Sevierville, Tennessee.
She is survived by daughter, Terri L. Hager (Brian) Dolin of Madison; son, Jerry Dell Hager of Madison; grandchildren, Shannon Johnson and Staci (Brett) Hensley all of Madison, Justin Hager and Jacklyn Ryan White both of Georgia; step-granddaughters, Valeria (Nick) Loftis and Sarah Dolin all of Julian; great-grandchildren, Chance, Colten, Ciaria Loftis and Isabella McClanahan and Jacob Hughes “Honorary Great-Grandson”; siblings, Ronald L. (Marcella) Blake of Rock Creek; Emma Jean (Roger) Mills of Madison, Jackie Glen Blake of Virginia, Ricky Ray (Kim) Blake of Huntington and Debbie (Robert) Reed of Virginia; a host of nieces and nephews; and her little dog Tanner who was her best friend and companion.
Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, January 25, 2014 at Handley Funeral Home, Danville with George Garner officiating. Burial will follow in Family Gardens, Madison.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
