Sandra “Sandy” Lee Epling Ulbrich, 67 of Hewett, WV went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 11, 2019 while surrounded by loved ones.
Sandy was a caregiver, homemaker, loving mother and devoted wife of 47 years and she enjoyed working crossword puzzles, reading her Bible, and had a passion for cooking and baking (especially her homemade fudge) and most requested was her homemade biscuits and gravy. What she enjoyed most was time with her family and spoiling her grandchildren.
Sandy was proceeded in death by her parents Archie “Bert” and Nancy “Mildred” (Fisher) Epling of Hewett, WV. Maternal grandparents Robert and Belva Holt of Charleston, WV, Paternal grandparents Clarence “Shep” and Washtella (Ball) Epling of Hewett, WV, and grandson Gabriel Jaxon Marcum of Danville, WV.
Sandy is survived by her husband Ernest Ulbrich, Sr. of Hewett, WV, daughter Melanie (“Little” Johnny) Bragg of Indiana, Amanda (Timothy) Marcum of Danville, WV, Ernest’s two other children whom she loved, Ernest Ulbrich, Jr. of Danville, WV, and Debra Campbell of Danville, WV.
Grandchildren: Christopher Cook, Valerie Foster, Nick Ulbrich, Rachel Moore, Laef Marcum, Cambrie Marcum, Madelyn Goode, and Mia Marcum
Great grandchildren: Oaklee Ulbrich, Raegan Moore, and Axel Ulbrich
Brother; Paul (Diann) Epling of Lake WV, their children Craig (Jan) Epling and their two children of Georgia, and Carissa Epling of Charleston, WV
Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, at Handley Funeral Home, Danville, WV.
Service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, December 14, 2019 with Pastor Joe Lane and Rev. Benny Evans officiating.
Sandy will be laid to rest in Memory Gardens at Low Gap, WV.
