Sherie Lynn Vint, who was loved by everyone she met, went home to be with the Lord at her home in Foster, WV on Tuesday September 19th, 2023, after her long battle with breast cancer while surrounded by her loving family.
Sherie was preceded in death by her parents Herman and Hildred “Joy” Stanphill and her grandparents Floyd and Frankie Stanphill, Howard and Ermine Tyler and Herman and Julia Spieker.
She was survived by her loving Husband of 34 years, Randall Vint of Foster, WV, her Daughters Heather Hoffman of Danville, WV and Christina Fortin of Forks, WA, Her beloved Grandchildren Keaghin Hoffman, George Fortin Jr., and Laylauni Medina. Her Stepmother, Lorraine Stanphill of Port Orchard, WA, Brothers, Michael (Dennis) Stanphill of San Diego, CA, Jack Smith of Port Orchard, WA, and Sister, Julia (Dusty) Burwell of Gig Harbor, WA, as well as many loving family and friends, and her furry companion, Otis.
Sherie retired from the Washington Corrections Center for Women after 25 years of dedicated service. She was a very special person as attested to by all those in her life, the selfless love for her friends and family was limitless. She was known for her big beautiful smile, compassion, and her immeasurable amount of strength and positive attitude. Sherie faced her battle head on and never gave up. Life will be a little less bright without her in it.
Services will be held at Handley Funeral Home in Danville, WV on Tuesday September 26th, 2023, at 11:00 AM with graveside service to follow at Donel Kinnard Veterans Cemetery in Dunbar, WV at 2:00 PM. Friends may call from 10:00- 11:00 AM.
