Sherry Lee Canterbury- Marchensky

December 11, 1943 — April 20, 2019

Sherry Lee Canterbury-Marchensky, 75, of Sandyville, WV and formerly of Madison, WV went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 20, 2019.

She was surrounded by her two devoted sons, Mark Edward and Kenneth Wayne Price who held her gently and cradled her with loving arms.

Sherry was the daughter of the late Maxie and Edith Canterbury. She was preceded in death by her first husband Donald (Donny) Price, her younger brother, Roger Wayne Canterbury and her beloved twin sister, Gloria Sue Fannin.

She is survived by her husband, Thomas Leon Marchensky, sons, Mark Edward Price (Tammy), Kenneth Wayne Price and daughter, Tanya Jo Marchensky-Price.

Sherry also leaves behind four grandchildren, Brooklyn Price, Trevor Price, Trenton Price, Emily Ann Price, three great grandchildren, Grayson Price, Destiny Levigne and Chloe Levigne.

During Sherry’s time in Madison she was a well-respected beautician and highly regarded for her skills in the cosmetology field. After moving to Sandyville, Sherry pursued a career as a nursing assistant and worked at Eldercare until she retired.

She was well-loved and adored by those who knew her and was admired for her fighting strength and spirit. Sherry will be sadly missed and remembered always with only fond and loving memories.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 24, 2019 Handley Funeral Home, Danville, with Pastor Earnest Hayes officiating. Burial will follow in Boone Memorial Park, Madison.
