Sheryl Lynn Dials Stollings was born May 20, 1953 and passed peacefully in her sleep on August 14, 2017. She was preceded in death by her parents James and Bessie Dials; and twin sisters, Brenda Sue and Linda Lou.
Sheryl was a CNA and worked at Thomas Memorial before beginning her work in the job she held dear to her heart as an aide in the Boone County Head Start Program first in Laurel City then moving along with her students to Danville. Many children passed through her class whom she would often tell fond stories of. In her younger years she enjoyed bowling and softball, and riding through the hills on the 4 wheeler, and she always enjoyed going to their camp in Greenbrier.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 44 years, Carl Max Stollings I; her sons, Carl Max II “Little Max”and Barbara Stollings, and Michael and Lisa Stollings; six grandchildren, Kaitlyn “Baby Girl”, Carl Max III, Billie, Michelle, Mikey and Josie Stollings; sister, Susie and Claude Crisp; brothers, James and Linda, and Scott and Ginger Dials; sister-in-law, Brenda Brumfield; and an additional host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, August 19 at Handley Funeral Home, Danville with the Rev. Joe Lane officiating. Burial will follow in Boone Memorial Park, Madison.
