Shirley Mae Clay

Shirley Mae Clay, 71, of Branchland, WV departed this world for her heavenly home on November 22, 2020. She was one of ten children of the late Con and Nora Brumfield of Ten Mile Road Branchland, WV. Shirley Mae Clay was the wife of Hubert Jessie Clay of Pleasant View in Branchland, WV. They were happily married for fifty-five wonderful years and blessed with five children LaDonna (Tim) Johnson, Hubert Jessie Clay Jr., David (Gina) Clay, Andy (Diana) Clay and Jennifer (Greg) Terry. They have seventeen grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren, along with a host of family and friends. She was a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church. She will be loved and missed by many. II Corinthians 5:8 We are confident, I say, and willing to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.
Funeral services will be 2:00pm Tuesday November 24, 2020 at McGhee-Handley Funeral Home, West Hamlin, WV with Tom Frye officiating. The burial will follow in the Watson Cemetery, Branchland, WV. A visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral.
