Shirley Jean Jackson, 71, of Foster passed away February 22, 2019 unexpectedly at home.
She was a loving wife, mother, and grandma “maw” that will be missed very much. She was a retired Boone County Schools cook with 19 years of service.
Shirley was born on April 28, 1947 in Logan County and raised in Wharton. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bert and Carol Lambert; her loving husband of 38 years, Howard “Gene” Jackson; son, Bobby Jackson; siblings, Charles Lambert, Bo (Jessie) Lambert, Elizabeth (Corbett) Dotson and Lola (Richard) Webb and brother-in-law, Udell Cook.
She is survived by her loving son, Howard “Junior” Jackson of Foster; daughter, Tammy (Allen) Dotson and beloved grandson, Cody Dotson of Danville; sisters, Esta Cook of Bob White and Brenda (Tom) Hayes of West Madison; brother-in-law, William “Bucky” Jackson of West Madison; and sister-in-law, Betty Jackson-Green of West Madison; along with a host of nieces and nephews, all of whom she loved very much.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at Danville Memorial Park, Danville with David Cook officiating.
