Stacy Bryan Kessinger, 48, of Foster, formerly of Wharton went to be with the Lord on February 13, 2017 at Boone Memorial Hospital.
Stacy was a past employee of Southern Container in NC, Jupiter Coal, Massey Energy and Coal River Energy as an equipment operator. Stacy was a member of the Odd Fellows Lodge 170 in Madison and attended McCorkle FWB Church of McCorkle. Stacy graduated from Van High School in 1987 was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers and WVU football fan. He definitely had no problem telling you that if you weren't a fan of one of his team’s, you were indeed rooting for the wrong team. If you were lucky enough to be a part of his life, then you knew your life was richer and fuller for it.
Stacy's pride and joy was and will continue to be his kids, Leah Mackenzie 12 and Dalton Bryan ten of Bim, WV. His kids were his life and his family is so pleased that for days and years to come they’ll hear stories about his adventures, antics, practical jokes, good deeds and probably some not so good deeds from all his friends, co-workers and acquaintances.
He is survived by his parents, Junior and Barbara Kessinger of Foster; sister, Dawn (Mike) White of Sumerco, WV; and nephews, Dustin White of Sumerco and Colton (Shayla) White of Madison.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, February 17 at Handley Funeral Home, Danville with Pastor Isaiah Hatfield, Pastor Jimmy Lawrence and Pastor Ron Scott leading the services.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, February 16 at the funeral home.
