Stella Browning Stollings, 82, of Peytona went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 5, 2013 at Hubbard Hospice House surrounded by her family.
She was born on February 2, 1931 in Big Rock, KY and was the daughter of the late William and Lucy Blevins. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husbands, Donald J. Browning and Donald C. Stollings; sisters, Myrtle Blevins and Marie Smith; and brother, Ernest Blevins.
She is survived by her daughter, Pam (James) Parsons of South Charleston; sons, Steve (Emma) Browning of Hurricane and Chuck (Katherine) Browning of Seth; sisters, Del Holbrook of Wyoming, WV, Ellen (Lacy) Blankenship of Richwood, Bobbi (Paul) Vitello of Richwood, Jonni (Jim) Woods of Valrico, FL; brothers Chris Blevins of Charleston, Howard (Betty) Blevins of McMinville, TN and Russ (Gwen) Blevins of Newport News, VA; six grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Stella was a member of Mt. View Freewill Baptist Church of Drawdy. She enjoyed traveling, camping, fishing and cooking for her family. She was an employee of Rubber Fab in Richwood, Heck’s Department Store in Kanawha City and Danville.
She will be greatly missed.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Sunday, November 10, 2013 at Handley Funeral Home, Danville with James Parsons and Steve Browning officiating. Burial will follow in Drawdy Cemetery, Drawdy.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
