Steven Leslie Marsh, 62, of Madison, formerly of Wrexham, Wales, United Kingdom passed away July 27, 2020 at Boone Memorial Hospital of a sudden heart attack.

He was born on March 27, 1958 in Wales, and was the son of Barbara Leighton Marsh Storey of Wrexham, Wales and the late Leslie Marsh. He was preceded in death by his sister, Deborah Thompson.

He was employed by Boone County Schools as a school bus operator. He was also employed part-time by Barons Bus Lines as a bus driver for the I-Ride-79 bus service. He also made jewelry and made balloon animals, and he and his wife were vendors for fairs and festivals around the state.

Steve worked in the tourist industry for over 30 years and drove coaches all over Europe. He was last employed by Pat’s Coaches of Wrexham, Wales.

He is survived by his wife, Connie Baisden Marsh; daughter, Emma Swarbrick of England; son, Daniel Marsh of England; his sister, Susan Dugdale of England; his step-son, Robert Workman of Turtle Creek and grand-daughters, Syvada Workman of Turtle Creek and Millie Swarbrick of England; also several nieces and nephews and countless friends.

Service will be 5 p.m. Thursday, July 30, 2020 at Handley Funeral Home in Danville, WV with Chuck Gillispie officiating.

The family will receive friends from 4 p.m. until service time.

Due to Covid-19 please observe the Governor’s mandate and everyone is required to wear a mask and to social distance.
