She was immersed in the Christian community, member of the Eastern Star, member of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR), local chapters of DAR in West Virginia and Florida, and was dedicated to genealogy and travel that remained a part of life until passing. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Hurricane, WV. Sue was salutatorian of her Van High school class in 1951 and firmly approached life with goodness, enrichment, and dedication to her family and friends.
Sue was blessed with a large and loving family which includes her husband, Kenneth Harris from Dayton, Ohio; 3 children from a prior marriage, Rebecca Sue Bratcher Morgan, Timothy Lloyd Bratcher, and Joseph Harrison Bratcher; and stepdaughters Barbara Harris Speelman and Kendolyn Harris Falldorf. Sue raised her children with love, patience, discipline and humility and taught them from the very beginning to dedicate their lives to God and their fellow man.
