Susie Louise White

Susie Louise White, 90, passed away on September 6, 2017 at her home in Murrells Inlet, South Carolina where she resided for the past 18 years.

Louise was born on September 2, 1927 at Meadow Fork, Hewett, WV and was a daughter of the late David French Ball and Sybil Ball of Meadow Fork.

She was preceded in death by her husband Warren Henry White of Jeffery, WV; a daughter Sharon Renee White Brewer and son in law Thomas Brewer of Kermit WV; daughter in law Diana Hall White of Elizabeth WV; and her siblings, Loretta Workman, Lucy VanKirk, Sammy Ball and David Ball.

Louise is survived by her loving family, son Terry White (Joan ) of Topeka KS, son Harry White (Pat) of Murrells Inlet, SC, daughter Karen Hedrick (Rocky) of North Myrtle Beach, S.C., daughter Patricia Price (Mike) of Murrells Inlet, SC, and son Parick White (Debbie ) of Lake, WV; 11 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Louise loved her married life of 53 years with Henry in Jeffrey where they raised their six children in their mountain home across the creek. She was a proud wife and homemaker and the best "Mamma" ever! Family was everything to her. She so treasured her role as "Mamaw" or "Granny" to 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She enjoyed quilting, crocheting, working puzzles, listening to gospel music and devoting her life to caring for others.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, September 9th at Handley Funeral Home in Danville, WV with the Rev. Cecil Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens, Madison.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Saturday.
