Sylvia Arlene (May) Turner

Sylvia Arlene (May) Turner, 82, went home to be with our Lord on July 27, 2024 in Stockton, Missouri, originally from Lick Creek, WV. She graduated from Scott High School in 1959.

Arlene was preceded in death by her son Jim Brown; parents Arvil and Lola May; brothers Carl May and Woodrow May. 

She is survived by her son, Dale Brown of Stockton, Missouri and daughter Carla Brown Norvell of Kenna, WV; five granddaughters; two grandsons; several great-grandchildren; sisters, Marie Mullins of Danville, WV and Kathleen May-Clark of Middletown, Delaware; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Arlene loved watching and feeding the birds. Each year she looked forward to the return of “Ralph”, her favorite hummingbird! She also enjoyed watching football and NASCAR.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. August 10, 2024 at Memory Gardens, Madison, WV.

Handley Funeral Home in Danville, WV will be assisting the family.
