Tennessee Jarrell, 91, of Greenview went home to be with Jesus on January 17, 2022.
She was born on February 8, 1930. She was a devoted wife, mom, mamaw, sister, aunt, and friend to many. She loved to sew. She made hundreds of beautiful quilts for her family and friends. She was a Christian and a member of the Greenview Freewill Baptist Church. She was loved by all who knew her.
Tennessee was joined in death by her beloved husband Dallas Jarrell; her daughter Yvonne Burgess; son-in-law Bobby Miller; and her sisters Willa Mae Tabor and Martha Jane McCormick.
She is survived by her children: sons, Chuckie (Teresa) Jarrell of Six Mile, Tommy (Marilyn) Jarrell, Danny Jarrell, Wayne Jarrell, and Randy (Jeannie) Jarrell and son-in-law, Johnny Burgess all of Greenview; daughter, Drema Miller of Ottawa; sister, Audrey Williams of Saint Albans; and brother, Lawson “Buddy” (Darlene) Bolden of Chicago, IL; grandchildren, Selena (Bub) Brown, Danny Jarrell, Belinda (Scott) Schneider, Eric Jarrell, Geoff (Stephanie) Jarrell, Kelly (Tony) Arkola, Johnny Burgess, Sonya Miller, Jared (Katlyn) Jarrell, Jalen (Ashley) Jarrell, Wayne Jarrell, and Ryan Jarrell; 17 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
The family would like to thank Dr. Ron Stollings, Handley Funeral Home, and Boone Memorial Hospital for the kind and loving care.
Service will be 2 p.m. Friday, January 21 at Handley Funeral Home in Danville, WV with David May and Timmy Hill officiating. Burial will follow in Family Gardens Cemetery on Low Gap Road, Madison, WV.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
