Teressa Faye Loftis of Bigson formerly of Gordon went on to her Heavenly home after a long courageous battle with cancer on Wednesday morning April 21, 2021.
She was a longtime resident of Gordon where she made a loving home with her best friend and husband Kenneth Loftis. She was born in Madison, WV on January 25, 1957 to Lorena Hicks and Jake Townley. She was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth Loftis; mother Lorena Hicks; her father Jake Townley; her step-father James Hicks; and a sister Rebecca Ball.
Those left to cherish memories of this sweet, beautiful soul are her companion and sole caretaker of 15 years Harold Adkins of Bigson. Siblings are Parnell Townley, Leona Owen and Sandra Ingram all of Ocala, Florida, Deborah Setser, JoAnn Jarrell and Carolyn Cook all of Van, Lori Franklin of Beckley, James Hicks of Van and Timothy (Angel) Hicks of Greenwood. Teressa also had many nieces and nephews that she loved with all of her heart.
Teressa was quiet and reserved. She loved spending time gardening, being a homemaker and had such a love of beautiful flowers. She absolutely adored her Pomeranians that were her babies, Jada and Roxy. They will miss her so much.
A graveside service will be 1 p.m. Monday, April 26, 2021 at Mid-Ferrell Cemetery with Phil Rowe officiating the service. Handley Funeral Home is assisting the family.
We would like to thank Dignity Hospice & Home Health of Chapmanville for the amazing care that Teressa received during her last days.
Blessed are those who mourn for they will be comforted. Matthew 5:4
