Thomas B. Crisp, age 84, of Six Mile Road, Danville, WV formerly of Monclo, WV went home to be with the Lord and with family and friends by his side.
He was born and raised on Davisport, (Rockhouse) Martin County, Kentucky and was one of 12 children. He was the son of the late Perry and Margaret (Pearl) Crisp. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Elcene Crisp; three brothers, Harold, McKinley (Junior) and wife Ilene, and Kenneth (Ron) Crisp; sisters, Lorene and husband Norman and Josephine and her first husband Mack and second husband Clearance Lane; brothers-in-law, Chuck Rash and Zip Wells; son-in-law, Ricci Bias; daughter, Carolyn S. Adkins; and grandchildren, Rickey C. Bias, Leonard (Tommy) Adkins, Jessica S. Adkins and Jeanetta D. McGuire.
He is survived by sisters, Leona and Harry Gamble, Dorothy and Ed Bostelman, Carolyn and James Wells, Yvonne and Home Ward, Sandra Wells and Zanna Rash; sister in law, Clara, wife of Kenneth (Ron); sons, Thomas and Tammy Crisp of Jeffrey and Claude and Susie Crisp of Six Mile; daughters, Patricia and Larry Burgess of Six Mile, Canatta Bias of Six Mile, Reneda and Roger Burgess of Six Mile, Cynthia and Ray Lane of Six Mile, Jeanetta and David McGuire of Sharples, Tonya and Scotty Green of Lick Creek, Misty and Stacy Dunlap of Julian; 23 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and a host of friends and loved ones.
He was a member and deacon of the Monclo Freewill Baptist Church, Sharples. He loved fishing, hunting, gardening and being in church with his family and friends. He always wanted family close by.
Funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Monday, May 16 at Monclo Freewill Baptist Church with the Rev. Joe Lane and Alfred Setser officiating. Burial will follow in Family Memorial Gardens, (Low Gap Road), Madison.
Friends may call from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday at the church.
