Thomas Lee Petry

Thomas Lee Petry, 69, of Danville, WV was welcomed to his heavenly home with, “well done my good and faithful servant” on May 15, 2024. 

He was preceded in death by his parents Loretta and Prather “Tom” Petry; sister Athena Petry; brother Steve Petry; and loving wife of 42 years Barbara Jean Petry.

He is survived by his loving wife of 7 years Rebecca Pavelka; daughters Crystal Green (Marshall), Angela Petry-Muslin (Ivan) and Regina Castle (Tony Ray); five grandchildren Carrena Maynard (Dougie), Ethan Acord (Faith), Haleigh Petry (Brady Griffin), Harvey and Emma Muslin; six great grandchildren Adley and Avery Workman, Amity and Fletcher Maynard, and Madie and Rorie Acord; and his special buddy Happy Saunders.

Tom was an organ and tissue donor. Through this gift many families’ loved ones will continue to share memories, chase their dreams, and continue to impact the world. 

Tom did not wish to have a memorial service. He would rather you spend time with your family and friends and share your memories together and laugh rather than cry a single tear. He would encourage you to remain close to or get to know the Lord and continue His work until you are called home. That’s just who Tom was and that is how we continue to honor him, his memory and his legacy. 

The family wishes to thank everyone who has called, visited, and prayed for them during this difficult time.
