Tommy Poore, 62, of Madison, WV passed away on July 9, 2015. He was born February 20, 1953 in Madison and was a son of the late Lona Poore and Joe Poore. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Sidnie Tompkins; and grandson, Harley Poore.
He was a 1972 graduate of Scott High School. He was a coal miner with 27 years of service and was a member of UMWA Local 0781. He enjoyed hunting and spending time with his family.
Tommy is survived by sister, Susan and John Javins; children, Jennifer and Derrick Tompkins, Sarah and Mark Farley, Jessica and Scottie Likens, Jody Vance, Joseph and Cassie Poore and Zach and Crystal Poore; grandchildren, Zeke, Lexi, Zari, Celeste, Brianna, Jamielynn, Elizabeth, Tyler, Libby, Emily, Katie, Ethan, Summer, Adison, Jaelyn and Sydney and Savanna and Josh Creamens; aunt, Margaret Clay; and nieces, Mary Beth and Scott Deck.

Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 14 at Handley Funeral Home, Danville with Ralph Caudill officiating. Burial will follow in Noah White Cemetery, Bim.
Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
