Vannah Lou White-Kirk, 62, of Danville formerly of Hewett passed away Wednesday, March 16, 2016 at St Mary’s Medical Center.
Vannah was born November 9, 1953 at Ramage to the late Nancy McCleese Pettry and Jody White. Also, preceding her in death are her sister Judy Selvig; brother Demmie Jo White; her precious daughter Misti Kirk-Hudson; father-in-law Lonnie Kirk and brother-in-law Billy Pettry.
Vannah had retired 13 years ago. She had formerly worked at Underwood’s Family Restaurant and Park Avenue Motel and Restaurant, Tudor’s Biscuit World and Meadow Brook Nursing Home.
Vannah is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, David Kirk; their children Joanna & Willie Bias of Madison, Rachel & Kevin Miller of Florida, Robyn and Dennie Mitchell of Morrisvale, Chrystal Dawn & Teddy Salzo of Big Ugly, their only son David Jr. “Hot Rod” of Danville, Tiffany & Chad Pridemore of Hewett, Becky and Josh Vance of Danville; and 13 grandchildren. She is also survived by sisters, Martha Selvig and Kathy Petty; brothers, Don White, Ronnie White and Bobby Gene White; and mother-in-law, Dora Kirk.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Sunday, March 20, 2016 Handley Funeral Home, Danville with the Rev. Roger McCauley officiating. She will be laid to rest next to her daughter at Memory Gardens, Madison.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
