Victoria Elizabeth Thompson, 72, of Jeffrey went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 23, 2021. She was born December 6, 1948 at Sharples, WV.
She was preceded in death by her husband Darrell Thompson; her parents Arthur Leroy ‘Big Ike’ and Janivee Sanney; her grandparents Warren and Priscilla McCormick and George and Elizabeth Sanney; and her brothers and sisters, Cora Sanney, Delorse (Robert) Tackett, Dennis "Jimmy" (Marie) Smith, Virginia Lee (Lenny) Lubinsky, and Mary Louise (James) Duncan.
Victoria was a retired cook from the Boone County Board of Education, working for many years at the Ramage Grade School and was a member of the Monclo Freewill Baptist Church.
She is survived by her son Junior (Joyce) Pettery of Clothier; daughter Crystal (Chris) Dingess of Jeffrey; brothers and sisters, Clara (Paul) Ocasio, Loretta (Larry) Green, Arthur Sanney Jr., Michael (Brenda) Sanney, and Kenneth Dale (Debbie) Sanney; grandchildren, Brandon Pauley, Justin Pettery, Zachary Pettery, Kayla (Cade) Mitchell, Ashley Dingess, and Shauna Reynolds; and great grandchildren, Xavier, Grayson, and Brynnleigh.
Service will be 2 p.m. Sunday, November 28, 2021 at Handley Funeral Home at Danville with Rev. Joe Lane and Rev. Dennie Evans officiating. Burial will follow in Boone Memorial Park at Madison.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Due to Covid-19 please wear a mask when attending the visitation and service.
