Violet Ruth Craddock, 90, of Lake, WV went home to be with the Lord Thursday, March 19, 2015 at her home with her children by her side.
She was born in Whitesville, WV and was a daughter of the late Edgar and Eva Jane Albright. She was also preceded in death by her loving husband, James Craddock; son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Eunice Craddock; three great-grandchildren; brothers, Edgar Albright, Russell Albright and Billy Albright; and sister, Betty Bias.
She was a devout Christian and pastors wife. She loved studying the Word of God, was a fantastic seamstress and quilt-maker and most important to us, a loving mother. She attended Laurel City Freewill Baptist Church.
She is survived by daughter, Wanda (Ralph) Nagle of Conway, SC; sons, Donald Craddock of Slatington, PA; James (Sonja) Craddock of Lake, WV, Charley Craddock of Thompson, Ohio and Terry Craddock of Palm Coast, Florida; 13 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; sister, Dolly (Virgil) Jeffrey of Hewett, WV; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Service will be 2 p.m. Monday, March 23, 2015 at Handley Funeral Home, Danville with the Rev. Don Austin officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens, Chapmanville.
Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
