Virgil Smith

Virgil Smith 72, of Ranger, WV passed away Saturday August 24, 2013 at Cabell-Huntington Hospital. He was born October 4, 1940 a son of the late Ivan and Elsie Nelson Smith. He was retired from the WV Dept. of Highways, an Evangelist and a member of the Smith Family Singers. He was also preceded in death by his wife Margaret, and a son Randy Virgil Smith.

He is survived by three sons, Willard, Allen, and Scott (Kristie) Smith; one daughter Angela (Christopher) Sloan; 13 grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, a host of brothers and sisters and nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Tuesday August 27, 2013 at McGhee-Handley Funeral Home, West Hamlin, WV with Michael Vance officiating. Burial will follow at Smith Cemetery, Ranger, WV. Viewing will be one hour prior to service on Tuesday.
