Virginia Mae (Jenny) Harless

Virginia Mae Harless- Jenny left her earthly family and joined with her family who had preceded her to Heaven on May 14, 2016. Jenny passed away after having a major stroke at Charleston General Hospital. She was surrounded by family.

Jenny was preceded in death by her parents, Simeon and Vivian Dolin, her father and mother in law Hershal and Ruth Harless, and two granddaughters, Amanda Paige Harless and Amanda Linville.

Jenny was all things to her family, a mother, grandmother, great grandmother, a loving wife and an example of what all of these should be.

Jenny and Doug were charter members of the Bible Baptist Church where she was active in the nursery department until her illness began.

Jenny leaves behind her husband Doug Harless of 57 years, her children, Mary Lou (Terry) Reavis, Ruthie (Garry) Bourne, Don (Kelly) Harless, and D.A. (Sandy) Harless, she also leaves behind several grandchildren, Joey Linville (Donna Ritchie), Andrew (Nikki) Linville, Rachell Bourne, Shawn (Ashley) Bourne, Savannah Harless, Darren Harless, Alli Harless, Amanda Reavis and Jonathan (Brittany) Reavis, great grandchildren, Carter and Lexi Linville, LayKin Linville, Nate and Jordan Ritchie, Macy Bourne, Kameron Reavis, Tristan Reavis and Orian Reavis. Jenny leaves behind her sisters, Jean (Barry) Fulton, Dottie (Louie) Statas, Betty (Geroge) Hogan, Annie (Claude) Roberts, and Brenda (Gary) Smith and several nieces and nephews.

Jenny had a smile for everyone. She lived every day for the Lord and Her family. She was much loved and will be missed by All who knew her.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 18 Handley Funeral Home, Danville with Rev. John Barker and Pastor Dan Gates officiating. Burial will follow in Boone Memorial Park, Madison.

Friends may call Tuesday 6 to 8pm at the funeral home.
