Virginia Faye Harvey

Virginia Faye Harvey 79 of Bob White, WV passed away at home May 3, 2023. She was born June 23, 1943 to the late Carlos and Nettie Green in Bim, WV.

Virginia was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Henry Harvey, who always called her his “little Hawaiin girl” daughter, Lora Hensley, sisters Frances, Elaina, and Garnet and brothers Robert, Dorman and Carson.

Left to cherish her memories are three children, Evelyn (Douglas) Tittle of Florida, Dayman (Deanna) Harvey of Wharton, WV and Audra (Roger) Cook of Georgia; son in law Tom Hensley of WV; brother Carman Green of Ohio; sister Charlotte Stewart of Indiana; as well as 13 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.

Virginia was a homemaker and member of Freedie Freewill Baptist Church in Van, WV.  She loved spending time with her family, she would make sure to always have a dollar and Hershey Kisses ready when her great-grandchildren would visit.  Virginia loved playing the marble game, Aggravation, with her family and partner in crime, Dayman.  Her family will always remember her infamous bop-it technique and laugh as she played.

Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 5, 2023 Handley Funeral Home, Danville, WV with Steve Burns and Benny Turner officiating.  Burial will follow in Memory Gardens, Madison, WV.

Friends may call one hour prior to the service. 

Pallbearers will be Carmen Green, Kyle Harvey, Matthew Harvey, Josh Cook, Zeke Begley, Jacob Carrell, and Abner Begley.
