Walter Lindsay

November 1, 1959 — April 2, 2025

Madison

Walt Lindsay, 65, of Madison, died on April Fool's Day. Given his quirky sense of humor, he'd get a laugh out of that. Walt was a Master carpenter and took great pride in his work. He was a gifted (self-taught) musician. He loved good conversation and political debate, never hesitant to share his opinions.

Walt is survived by his wife and love of his life, Tammy Smith Lindsay; his daughters Heather, Sarah, Emily, and Caelyn, the granddaughter he raised as his own. He loved his grandchildren Jordan, Chase, Haylee, Blake, Liberty and Isabella; his great-granddaughter, Wrenley; and his sisters Beckey (deceased), Deborah, Kathleen, Pam, and Libby Walt had a host of friends, none closer than his 'brothers from another mother' Mark Mooney and Curtie Brown. Though he enjoyed working for folks (Betty Jackson Green, he loved you best but don't tell the rest) he was a home body. His happy place was home with his family and his beloved cats.

We invite you to join us as we celebrate Walt's life at 11 a m Monday, April 7th at the Old Miners' Cemetery/McMicken residence on Price Hill.
