Wayne Craig Webb

July 2, 1950 — March 3, 2024

Ranger, WV

Wayne Craig Webb, 73, of Ranger, WV passed away on Sunday, March 3rd 2024.

He was born July 2, 1950 to the late Doyle Lee “Prout” Webb, and Doris Jean (Johnson) Webb of Ranger, WV. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother-in-law and good friend Gregory Scott Stephenson also of Ranger, WV.

He is survived by two sons, James Webb of Huntington, WV, and Matthew (Missica) Webb of Barboursville, WV; his sister, Doris Lee (Webb) Stephenson of Ranger, WV; and six grandchildren, Lilly, Violet, Dahlia, Brayden, Paisley and Elijah along with a host of nieces, nephews and blessed friends too numerous to count.

Known by many people and by many names, Craig, Uncle Craig, Pappy or just plain Dad he was always there to share a laugh and depart some wisdom.  Above all things, he enjoyed spending time with his friends and family.   With activities that ranged from playing guitar, games of chess and going on four-wheeler and motorcyle rides to discussing the weather, Disney princesses or dinosaurs, he never failed to give you his full attention when you saw him.  With the ability to make a friend anywhere he went, he never missed an opportunity to share his latest joke, or witty sarcasm.

There will be a memorial service held in his honor on Saturday, March 9th beginning at 3PM at McGhee Handley Funeral Home in West Hamlin, WV.
