William S. Bowles

William S. Bowles, 84, of Peytona, WV passed away Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at Bridgeport Health Care Center.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Opal Bowles; and his wife Betty J. Bowles.
He was a retired principal of several schools from Boone County Board of Education. He was a veteran of the United States Marines. He was a member of the Odell Masonic Lodge #115, the Rotary Club and also a member of Racine First Baptist Church.
He is survived by his daughter, Diane Bowles; sons, Jeff Bowles (Kathy) and Dr. William “Greg” Bowles (Kara); five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brothers, Ernest Bowles, Ellhue Bowles, Teddy Bowles, and Tommy Bowles; sister, Betty Jo; and several nieces and nephews.
Service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Racine First Baptist Church with Anthony Pratt officiating. Burial will follow in Pineview Cemetery, Orgas, WV with Masonic graveside rites performed by Odell Masonic Lodge #115 of Madison and military graveside rites performed by Daniel Boone VFW Post 5578 of Madison, West Virginia. Friends may call from 6:00-8:00 pm Friday and one hour prior to the service Saturday at the church.
