William Collie Burns of Twilight, WV passed away September 22, 2015.
He was born December 11, 1949 to the late Paulette K. and Collie E. Burns.
Billy was a retired coal miner and a member of the UMWA. He had the most heartwarming smile and kindest heart. He will be greatly missed by family and friends.
He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Ethel A Gunnoe; children, William “Little Bill” Burns of Twilight, Dennie L. Burns of Gordon and Loretta K. Burns of Twilight; brothers, Larry L. Baisden of Ohio, Charles E. Burns of Twilight and Dennis L. Burns of Gordon; grandchildren, Lorissa A. Cook, Steven M. Cook, Ryan C. Burns, Ashley N. Burns, Sarah L. Burns, Jackie Burns, Zoie Burns, Chloe Burns, Abby Glenn, Brittany K. Woodall and Cody R. Woodall; great grandchildren, Kayden C. Cook, Alexis G. Love, Alyssa B. Callaway, Tucker Woodall and David “DJ” Bing.
Funeral service is 2p.m. Saturday, Sept 26, 2015 Handley Funeral Home, Danville, WV with the Rev. Steve Burns officiating. Burial will follow in Mid-Ferrell Cemetery, Bandytown.
Friends may call one hour prior to service.
