William Cleo "Speed" Cook, 74, of Danville passed away after a long illness on June 5, 2015.
He was born June 12, 1940 and lived most of his life in the Pond Fork area. He was the last surviving child of Homer and Eveline (White) Cook. He was preceded in death by children, William Ross Cook, Timmy Cook and Vicki Lynn Price; his siblings, Vivian, Norman, Bethel, Edsil, Effie, Ginny, Atlee, Ruby, Wanda, and twin brother who died at infancy.
He is survived by his children, Curtis Cook, Renee' Cook, Benita Adkins, Connie Parsley, Margie Cook, Scotty Adkins and Nikki Cook; grandchildren, Brandon Adkins, Jacob Cook, Bradley Adkins, Tyler Cook, Holly Weaver, Danny Perdue, Austin Adkins, Emily Chapman and Jordan Parsley; caretaker and friend, Larry Stiles; and many special nieces and nephews.
Service will be 11 a.m. Sunday, June 7, 2015 at Handley Funeral Home, Danville. Burial will follow in Danville Memorial Park, Danville.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
