William Charles Giles

William Charles Giles, 79, of Peytona, WV went home to be with the Lord on July 14, 2015.
Charlie graduated from Sherman High School in 1954 and enlisted straight into the Navy. He was a blue water Navy Veteran with 20 plus years active duty and 10 years in the Reserves. He did three tours of duty in Vietnam. He served his country with pride and honor. After retiring from the Navy he started Giles Excavating and met his wife Sandra. They both have been long term members of Peytona Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers; sisters; and Carla Joe, a special niece he dearly loved.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra; son, Thomas Giles (wife Carrie); daughter, Misty Bowyer (fiancé Jason Atkins); grandchildren, Riley, Lillyan, Bransen, Mason, Jaxson and Kayla; and a host of family and friends he loved all so dearly.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, July 18, 2015 at Peytona Church of Christ, Peytona, WV with Minister Charlie McKinney officiating. Burial will follow in Drawdy Cemetery, Drawdy, WV.
Friends may call after 6 p.m. Friday at the church.
Arrangements are by the Handley Funeral Home, Danville.
