William C., (Bill) Goodwin, 77, of Van, passed away Sunday, Nov. 29, 2015 at Hubbard Hospice House in Charleston after a long illness.
Bill was a retired construction worker with the UMWA. He loved the outdoors and talking with his friends at the Van Post Office.
Bill is survived by daughters, Michelle (Thomas) of Philippi, Melissa (Chuck) of Princeton and step son Mike (Kimberly) Davis of Winfield; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
The family would like to thank Brookdale Gardens, the staff at CAMC (6 south) and Hubbard Hospice House for the quality care they provided and special recognition for Dave and Patsy Gogas for their dedicated caregiving.
Visitation will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, December 3, with the funeral service to follow at 11:00 a.m. at Handley Funeral Home in Danville, WV, with Pastor Steve Burns officiating. Burial will immediately follow at Mid-Ferrell Cemetery, Bandytown, WV.
