William Anderson Persinger Jr.

William “Billy” Persinger, of Danville, WV passed away on March 22, 2024 after a long hard fought battle with cancer. 

He was a devoted Christian who loved his Danville Bible Baptist Church family. He was loved by everyone who met him.  In addition to being a retired coal miner, he was also a United States Army Veteran.

He was the son of the late William “Buster” Anderson Persinger Sr. and Mary “Tiny” McComas Persinger.  He was also preceded in death by his sister Oma “Snooky” McNeely; and brother James “Jimmy” Persinger.

He is survived by his wife, and love of his life, Linda Persinger; his children, William Scott Persinger, Bryan (Erin) Persinger, Kerri (Wyatt) Null, and Jason Persinger; grandchildren, Matthew and Deana Persinger, Sydney and Brylee Persinger, and Hunter and Brodie Null; as well as a host of family and friends.

Graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, March 25, 2024 at Boone Memorial Park, Madison, WV with Reverends Edsel Aleshire and Mike Clark officiating.   Military Rites will be performed by Daniel Boone VFW Post 5578 of Madison, WV.
