William Paul Slazo, 84, of Turtle Creek, WV passed away Friday, May 29, 2020 at Hillcrest Nursing Home, Danville, WV.
He was born November 8, 1935, a son of the late Steve and Julia Slazo.
He was a retired coal miner and a member of the UMWA. He attended Spruce Laurel Church and Victory Freewill Baptist. He loved to fish and hunt and had a passion for gardening.
He is survived by his wife, Ruby Bender Slazo; sons, Steven Slazo of Pikeville, KY, Eddie Slazo of Chapmanville, Lanny Slazo of Turtle Creek, WV and Teddy Slazo of Big Ugly, WV; daughters, Cindy Clay of Big Ugly, WV and Chasity Slazo of Holden, WV; brothers, Jackie Slazo of Holden, WV and Bobby Fowler of Southpoint, Ohio; sisters, Mazzie Hall of Arizona; fifteen grandchildren, Ivey Slazo, Phillip King, Patrick Broughton, Jonathon Slazo, Haileah Miller, Heidi Slazo, Jailyn Slazo, Trace Clay, Nathan Slazo, Ashley Slazo, Matthew Kirk, Nicholas Kirk, William Farr, Thomas Farr and Jaxon Williams; and three great grandchildren, Aubree Miller, Paislee Miller and Ava Slazo.
Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Monday, June 1, 2020 at Pauley Cemetery, North Fork of Big Ugly, WV with Paul Little and Ralph Caudill officiating.
