Floral Regulations

Please remember that floral regulations are necessary to protect the conscientious lot owner as well as to keep cemetery operation costs as a reasonable level. While we all cannot agree completely on decoration regulations, we feel we have established a fair set of rules that are enforced fairly and uniformly for all.

THE  FOLLOWING  REGULATIONS DEFINE WHAT IS PERMITTED AND WHAT IS NOT PERMITTED

Ground Burials

·        Fresh flowers may be placed on graves at any time.

·        Artificial arrangements may be placed in approved containers (vases that are integrated into the marker or monument) at any time.

·        Christmas wreaths or blankets are permitted from November 15 through March 1 annually.

·        Potted plants are permitted but will be removed and disposed of prior to next mowing.

·        Flags may be placed on graves, only on Memorial Day, Independence Day and Veterans Day. They may be placed three days prior to the holiday and will be removed the first working day following the holiday.

·        Plantings will not be permitted on graves at any time.

·        Statues, breakable items of any nature and similar commemorative items are not permitted on graves at any time.

·        Shepherd hooks or other types of stakes driven into the ground will not be permitted at any time.

·        No white gravel around markers or monuments.

·        Mowing by Cemetery Personnel only.

Mausoleum Entombments/Inurnments/Niches

·        Only artificial flowers are permitted inside the mausoleum(s).

·        Fresh or artificial flowers are permitted on outside crypts at any time.

·        Arrangements that encroach on adjoining crypt or niche fronts are not permitted.

·        Do not use wire or tape to attach arrangements, pictures, flags, etc. to the front of a crypt or niche. (Tape erodes the finish of the granite or marble and wire can easily chip the front.)

·        No glass, ceramic, or other breakable containers or decorations are allowed at any time.

·        No decorations are permitted on the floor at any time.

General Provisions

The preceding regulations describe what is and is not permitted on graves and crypts.

Decorations are removed by the cemetery staff for some of the following reasons.

1.      Decorations are checked periodically and those that have become unsightly, withered or faded are removed for the best appearance of your lot as well as the cemetery. Someone must make this decision and we hope you will appreciate that we make it as carefully as we can. We have no desire to displease you, and we leave the decoration on as long as their appearance is presentable.

2.      Decorations are removed when they fail to conform to limitations stated herein.

3.      Decorations are removed when they are not in proper containers.

The month of MARCH is used to “Spring Clean” the grounds and Mausoleums.              ALL DECORATIONS WILL BE REMOVED after March 1st. If you wish to save your decoration, please remove it before March 1st. Please do not place any new decoration during the month of March without first informing the cemetery personnel.
